2016 Canadian Amputee and Disabled National Open
This year’s golf tournament will be run following the RCGA Rules of Golf (the governing body for golf in Canada) & approved by the USGA and the R&A Modified Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities.
In keeping with the wishes of our members, in supporting the quest to have disabled golf in the Paralympics in the not too distant future, CAGA’s Board of Directors has taken the first steps towards unification of disabled golf in Canada. It is not necessarily a given, that because golf has been accepted into the Olympics, that disabled golf will automatically follow into the Paralympics. One of the things that has had to be looked at and will be continued by all Associations is the format of each country’s National tournament, to include the various other disabled golfers from other disabled organizations worldwide. Obviously this year it will be a formidable task and we ask you to bear with us and support us as we progress for the good of all.
We are therefore extending an invitation to you and/or your organization, to join us at the Canadian Amputee & Disabled National Open (CADNO) championship, being held in Surrey, BC – August 23-25, 2016
You will be playing with players who are the same golf handicap as you, but not necessarily the same disability.
By virtue of the fact that accessibility on the golf course has not been able to be tested or inspected for all types of disabilities at this time, it could be a concern, so this year each individual entry will be assessed for its own eligibility.
All players must have a registered Handicap with either the RCGA, R&A, USGA or EGA
Divisions can be modified depending on the number of players
Players can move up one Division but cannot move down
|Division 1*||0 to 8 handicap||*Divisions 1, 2, 3 & 4 will play Stroke & Net
