Western Amputee Golf Association Goodwill Ambassador Amy Bockerstette won multiple flights leading a strong WAGA showing at Sea Island, Georgia. The 6th annual Georgia Adaptive Open was held at the beautiful Sea Island Golf Club - Retreat Course, September 18th through 20th.
Arizona resident, Bockersette took home championships in the Women’s gross, net, and intellectual impairment categories. Amy finished 8th overall against a field of 56 players, both men and women.
Taking home the championship in both the Men’s multiple limb and double leg amputee classifications, was WAGA Board of Directors member and California resident Tim Healea.
Winning the championship in the Men’s co-ordination impairment category was Jarrett Fultz, an Arizona resident.
Fellow Arizonan, Justin Miller won the seated division championship.

In our continuing effort to grow Adaptive Golf, The Western Amputee Golf Association is excited to announce Amy Bockerstette as a Good Will Ambassador for the association. Amy will bring her exuberant personality and vitality to the forefront of our association and help in the effort to introduce persons with Down Syndrome, in the Western United States, to the game of golf.
Appointment to Board of Directors
On September 4, 2025, Amanda Cunha, recognized as the world’s #1 ranked female golfer with sight impairment, was named to the Board of Directors of The Western Amputee Golf Association. Her appointment marks a significant milestone for the organization, bringing invaluable leadership and expertise from the pinnacle of adaptive golf.
Commitment to Inclusive Growth
Amanda’s presence on the Board is a great asset to the adaptive golf community. Her guidance will help advance the mission of making golf inclusive for all disabled persons.
Academic and Athletic Involvement
Amanda is currently a student at the University of Arizona and competes as a member of the Adaptive Golf Team.
