The Western Amputee Golf Association is pleased to announce two academic/athletic scholarship awards for 2026. Our recipients this year are Sophia Howard and Anthony Maldanado. Both of these two special people represent the advancement of the game of golf for persons with disabilities while pursuing their own personal goals through higher education.
Anthony is pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at University of Arizona where he plays on the Arizona Adaptive Golf Team.
Sophia is a returning WAGA Scholar carrying a 3.8 GPA at U of A while also participating on the Arizona Adaptive Golf Team.
